Unsupported Banks

Wise and Revolut are not supported. Do not use them to fund a virtual account or as a payout beneficiary. Funds may be held indefinitely, and in some cases cannot be recovered.

Our banking partners require a verifiable link between a payment and the customer it belongs to. Wise, Revolut and similar e-money institutions (EMIs) move money through pooled client accounts, so the details that reach our partners belong to the EMI rather than your customer — the payment can't be matched, and returns are often refused.

Deposits from Wise or Revolut

These arrive with details that won't match your whitelisted source account, so the deposit is rejected and returned to a pooled account the EMI may be unable to allocate. Stables cannot retrieve funds once this happens. See Virtual Accounts Whitelisting.

Payouts to Wise or Revolut

These are commonly rejected on arrival or held pending manual review. Once a payout leaves our banking partner it cannot be recalled. See Beneficiary Requirements.

What to use instead

A traditional bank account held in the customer's own name, at a licensed bank in the country matching the payment currency. The account holder name must match the Stables customer record.

Wise and Revolut are the most common cases, but other EMIs and neobanks using pooled accounts can fail the same way. If you're unsure about a provider, contact Stables support before sending funds.
